Get Ready, Get Set,...eventually we'll go

Okay, sorry for the break I have made two trips to Arizona in the last month, one was 72 degrees and gorgeous and one was 103 degrees still gorgeous, but realized I am not built for that type of heat.  I should start a running commentary on some of the amazing hotels I get to stay in when traveling.  If any one is interested surf over to Scottsdale Biltmore and the Sanctuary.

Mark and I are making progress on the house.  We had our inspection, signed with a realtor, and this weekend we are officially on the market.

Many thanks to my parents for taking care of the boys while we were traveling and extra special thanks for help around the house.

Finished the back porch, with a few potted plants and a great deal on seat cushions.  I think my love affair with the color green may be waning a bit.  I totally wanted to go red, but I think I will save that for the next house.

For those of you who haven't met Tyler, he is our new friend.

Take a look at the finished front door.  Our neighbor was telling us a story about how in Edisto Island all the doors are painted blue to keep the devil out, interesting story but Mark insists it looks like the Tardis from Dr. Who.  Either way I like it the color and I added a couple of potted plants and some hostas from our neighbor to fill out some of the bare areas.

One quick update I made was replacing the lamp post in the front yard, as the old one had mysteriously lost it lid.  Mark was pretty sure I would electrocute myself, I thought by turning off all power to the house it would be safe, but he was convinced somehow that the lamppost was not connected to the house and somehow source its power straight from the Power plant, thus I was doomed.  Mark was standing near by with a stick just in case.  My hero.  Though he got me back later that night when Penny brought a baby rabbit in to the kitchen.  I totally screamed and jumped on the counter thinking it was a rat.  The boys came running in, and of course I was concerned that they would be crushed by the slight of the dead baby bunny, and tried to shield them.  They both were delighted and wanted to see if there was blood.  Boys.
I did that!!
Up next house tour part 3.
